Design a Research Protocol

Now that you know about the issue, have some perspective on the audience, develop a research protocol that you will use for interviews for members of your audience.

The protocol should contain the things that you are trying to discover (direct information), and an heuristic to document the emotional and stylistic cues that will make your designs compelling and believable to this audience.

Using the sample protocols as models, develop your own set of research points appropriate to the audiences that you are trying to research.

You will be using the protocol to conduct interviews and one other method of research with your subjects.

As part of developing the protocol, you will also need to develop a consent form for your research subjects. Consent forms will need to include a precis of your protocol, and should be modeled after the Metro State Human Subjects Committee consent form.
